The King’s Cross campus was transformed into a four-storey workspace for 2,000 people. A comprehensive audit across five buildings logged every furniture item by type, condition and location. This intelligence unlocked value across the estate, enabling smarter reuse and reupholstery of key pieces. To support the shift to a more agile and sustainable way of working, select new furniture was introduced to complement the retained items and complete the vision.

Reuse with Purpose

In collaboration with Hermantes Studio, Evom and Hennessy Godden, furniture was removed, tagged and sorted for reuse or redistribution. Surplus items found new life through refurbishment, resale and donation, while task chairs were refreshed and sent to home workers. The process blended care, efficiency and circular thinking.

Flexible, Future-Ready Spaces

New work zones featured height-adjustable desks, quiet pods, meeting rooms and open collaboration areas. Furniture selections balanced agility with comfort, supported by biophilic and acoustic enhancements. The result is a vibrant, sustainable campus designed to meet the needs of a modern, hybrid workforce.
